IRELAND - Irish dance to new CO2 tune
CO2 tax-conscious Irish car buyers, almost overnight turn to diesels in droves

TODAY’s much favoured factors of CO2-linked vehicle taxes have injected a hitherto unwitnessed vitality into Ireland’s diesel car market, which in turn helped more than double the country’s July diesel car share to 62 per cent. That’s more than twice the 27.9 per cent diesel share level recorded during this year’s opening quarter.
