FRANCE - Renault aims high with spark-fuelled Fluence

Echoing Toyota’s courageous earlier decision to build and market in volume the world’s first full hybrid car - the first generation Prius - Renault also hopes to reap significant competitive advantage and associated green laurels with its no less pioneering intention to build and sell a purely electrically powered range of volume produced vehicles from 2011 onwards. In tandem with its partner ‘Better Place’ Renault aims to sell "at least 100,000 electric cars in Israel and Denmark by 2016".
