True to the belief that engine downsizing is a
major trend in fuel-economy conscious Europe
and elsewhere, Ford is joining the speeding
ECO bandwagon with a new generation of 1-litre
3-cylinder turbo-charged petrol engines, to be
offered in its Focus with either 100 or 120PS. Its headline green credentials: just 4.8 litre/100km average consumption – CO2 109g/km, according to Ford
