To the astonishment of some earlier sceptics, and contrary to earlier doom-laden projections, even a quick glance at latest West European car sales numbers reveals that of late Fiat has bounced back. Despite what appeared to be overwhelming odds, in its European backyard, today Fiat is enjoying the fruits of a comeback that in manner and speed was still thought unthinkable even a few years ago

Testament to its simply astonishing ability to keep the undertakers waiting, at this yearís one-third stage in West Europeís strongly rebounding car sale arena, with a bullish 16.2 per cent cumulative car sales gain, the Fiat brand stands out as West Europeís fastest gaining major car brand. 

Moreover, contrary to the belief that Fiatís miraculous-looking sales bounce might be due to cash-draining incentive efforts, in Europe, Fiatís first quarter profit margin (EBIT) nearly quadrupled to 1.9 per cent compared with the same period last year.
