French electric car market
off to a slow start |

Two months into a recession-gripped year, and despite
today’s sky-high price of petrol and diesel and a
French government subsidy of up to
€5,000 for willing electric car
buyers, during the two months to February this year
just 717 electric cars took to French city streets
for the first time, according to
AID compiled figures. The vast majority of these – 443 – came from home-grown French city electric car specialist Bolloré. 717
