Europeís February electric car sales remain painfully slow

Across Europe, or for that matter in the vast majority of leading western world markets, electric cars still make a good story. But for all those with a vested interest in the underlying health of the electric car market, after scrutinising latest hard numbers for the first signs of lasting and strengthening green shoots, the exact reverse seems to hold true.

With the notable exception of deep-green Norway, where the electric car story remains positively upbeat, for electric carmakers at least the rest of Europe still looks grim.

As in any picture, there are various shades of grey.
