Just 112 electric cars reached French roads
for the first time in June, pulled down from
the already low levels seen in earlier months
chiefly by June’s notable sudden absence
of plug-in Bluecars, which so far this year
acted as the French electric car market’s main
growth locomotive. If this turns into a trend rather than a temporary blip, the absence of an obvious replacement capable of making up the slack is likely to send shivers through the spines of electric car industry leaders. 112
