Echoing the rosy picture
already seen in this year’s passenger car market, in West Europe’s
strongly recovering truck world the UK also stands out as a pillar of
strength. That’s in the sense that in the fast-recovering UK truck market this year’s half-year sales of heavies – 15,459 units - have already topped the like-for-like 12,462 sold during the first half in pre-crisis 2007. Somewhat dampening the prevailing optimism, however, this year’s excellent turnout still trails the higher 18,552 heavies sold in the UK during the first half in 2008. Follow @AIDNewsletter |
