![]() According to AID’s exclusively compiled data, West Europe’s electric car sales in June rose by a substantial 72 per cent to just over 3,000 units, propelled along in the main by the ZOE’s expected initial pole-vault jump in France. Thanks almost entirely to ZOE’s home debut, French electric car registrations in June rose more than eightfold to 903 units, which compares with a mere 112 overall electric car registrations during June of last year. 0.25% West Europe’s electric car penetration in June, buoyed by the comparatively strong uplift in French sales, rose to 0.27 per cent from 0.15 per cent during the same month last year.
