Paced by yet another year of stratospheric growth from SUV-Crossovers and a markedly faster than average expansion from VW’s Lavida dominated Lower-Medium segment, helped catapult last year’s total passenger car market in China to a bumper 15.9 million units, 2.4 million more than were sold only the year before Contrary to consensus expectations of single digit growth in 2013, since the beginning of last year’s second half canter turned to gallop, with third and fourth quarter sales outstripping earlier expectations by a long stretch. 14.8m
