![]() Healthy-looking underlying consumer demand in Norway, rather than added demand for the newly arrived electric cars from European heavyweights such as BMW and VW, still seen as main driver behind Europe’s outwardly encouraging pick up in electric car demand According to AID’s own monthly figures, West Europe’s electric car sales in June shot up by just under 80 per cent to some 5,350 units, paced in the main by a near fourfold jump in Norway to 1,446 units. In consequence, Norway remains West Europe’s unassailable electric car bastion, where this June electric cars were already responsible for more than 12 per cent of total new car sales. 0.34%
