![]() Mercedes - Daimler’s luxury car arm - true to its upbeat earlier forecast for the current year, has made a flying start into 2015 Driven in large measure by a double-digit car sales expansion in China’s prestige car market and a near 13 per cent sales gain in Western Europe, Mercedes’ high-flying car offshoot increased its first quarter sales revenue by 15 per cent to €19.5bn. That follows a slightly stronger 18 per cent jump in global car sales to 459,708 units.
