Observers attuned to the smooth hum of
Europe’s electric car (BEV) market have been hearing some discordant rumblings recently
The 6th fall in the past seven months, with November’s West European electric car sales
(BEVs) falling by 1.4
per cent, gives credence to the downbeat view that European consumers’ appetite for latest electric cars, despite on-going sweetheart
BEV ownership conditions and tempting financial purchase/lease incentives,
remains a great deal weaker than the industry had hoped.
Europe’s BEV engine, presently one of the most closely watched by much of the
autoindustry’s strategists and key decision makers, has of late developed a persistent
stutter.
Suggesting that the segment’s underlying growth has hit a critical phase, November saw yet another fall
in sales, marking the 6th drop in West Europe’s electric car sales in the past
