Industry minds appear united in the view that Hyundai, freshly armed with locally built cars, has taken to Brazil’s highly price-sensitive car market like a famished fox to a henhouse.

With its decision to enter Brazil’s still highly profitable car market with its own locally manufactured models, thereby driving yet another nail into Brazil’s cosy and long-running car-making oligopoly, Hyundai has already made a notable splash on Brazil’s car sales scene.
