Europe’s truck sales recovery strengthening, but it won’t last
Progressive improvements in this year’s underlying truck sales picture

Whilst first quarter sales in the 16t and above category still trailed last year’s like for like levels by some 18.3 per cent, followed by a notable smaller 6.9 per cent drop in the second quarter, by close of this year’s third quarter sales were 5 per cent up on a year ago.

16t and above truck sales rise across Western Europe in October

Part of the same trend, sales during October itself topped last year’s levels by an even stronger 12 per cent, which marks the way and ahead biggest jump during those past four months of growing sales.

No less telling for market observers, and telling the same happier tale, October sales of heavy trucks were up on a year ago in fourteen out of seventeen markets
