Range anxiety still rules
Most BMW i3s in Germany now equipped with range-extender engine

Since the beginning of the current year, average monthly registrations of BMW’s i3 in domestic Germany just reached a markedly slimmer than earlier anticipated 230 units, thus bringing the total number registered during this year’s first half to some 1,378 units.

Perhaps interesting to electric car market observers, since the beginning of this year there has been a distinct shift in model mix. 

All too conscious of lingering consumer concerns, chiefly the much-debated issue of ‘range-anxiety’, BMW’s i3 can be had with an optional range-extender engine.
