![]() AID compiled statistic show that West Europe’s June car sales grew at their fastest pace since September 2013 After the unexpectedly firm start to this year’s West European car sales season and just a momentary pause for breath in May, when underlying car recovery growth slowed notably to just 0.2 per cent, last month the market seems to have regained its stride with June sales growing at the fastest pace since September 2013. June’s 14.6 per cent sales surge, the 22nd successive month of uninterrupted car recovery sales growth in Western Europe, adds credence to the view that May’s sudden stab on the brakes was probably little more than a temporary bump in the road rather than the much-feared end of an all-round encouraging sales rebound that first began in September 2013.
