 Europe’s heavy truck market has always been regarded as a reliable barometer of overall economic activity. One has only to glance at this year’s encouraging underlying regional sales progress from heavy trucks to be convinced that the regional truck sales renaissance that only began at the start of this year, appears to have lost no steam as the year progressed This year’s upbeat message from heavy truck sales, which continue to bounce back a great deal faster than had been suggested by earlier industry forecasts, is echoed in the region’s strongly recovering passenger car market.
