 Audi’s still high-flying UK subsidiary has now added a markedly roomier five-door version of its all-new A3 to its forever mushrooming line-up of genuinely new cars. Built on a longer wheelbase than its earlier launched same platform 3-door brother, the notably more commodious new 5-door derivative, called Sportback, is not only the more logical choice for the average size family, but in a seemingly perplexing break with convention, within the new A3 range it also best meets the contrasting needs for enthusiastic drivers. With a £620 price premium over the more compact 3-door, UK prices for the all-new A3 Sportback start at £19,825 for the new 122PS 1.4 litre petrol derivative |
