World prestige car sales continue to march forward
Mercedes closing in on prestige sector leading BMW and Audi

Capturing the coveted position as the world’s fastest-growing major prestige brand, the Mercedes car brand reported an 18.7 per cent rise in global car deliveries for August, outperforming not only archrivals BMW and Audi, which in turn posted same month gains of 15.6 and 9.8 per cent, but also Porsche.

Despite Mercedes’ faster strides, this August and the eight months to date, in sales volume terms BMW comfortably retained its long-held global luxury car sales crown, accompanied in unchanged manner by Audi in the perennial runner-up slot.
