Jaguar Land Rover finally hits high notes
Company cruised in with impressive set of full year 2013 figures

JLR, Jaguar Land Rover, the smallest of Europe’s leading premium carmakers, cruised in with an impressive set of full year global car sales figures, reporting an impressive 18.8 per cent rise in global vehicle sales to 425,039. 

In so doing JLR also emerged as the fastest gainer in the pack, thanks in large part to its faster strides in China’s still sizzling premium car market where it jacked up last year’s sales by close on 30 per cent to 95,237 cars. 

Of this total 17,876 sales were attributable to Jaguar and 77,361 to Land Rover, which remains responsible for the bulk of last year’s JLR sales in China.

No doubt about it, of late Jaguar Land Rover has advanced in leaps and bounds and in the process has broken the old black hole image. 

Not only on the sales side, thanks in large measure to the vital strategic decision to also open up shop in China with its trendy SUV-Crossovers, but in terms of crucial profitability too, of late almost everything at reborn JLR has come up roses
